Long day. Short post.
These were pretty standard maple end tables. They are solid and were in good condition but I decided they could be a little more chic.

I took a FB poll and charcoal won, so charcoal it is. I actually love it as being so cose to black but softer and just as grown up. It says tres chic!
I can't believe it, but I didn't distress these at all. I wanted them to look sleek and clean.
Love these antiqued silver knobs .
Sorry this post is so short and blah but these are #4 and #5 this week and I am tired. :)
Très chic, indeed! I love the color; and those knobs! Were the sides already shuttered, or did you add that detail before you painted? Wonderful job.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jeannie! The sides were already like that, all I had to do was paint it! :)
DeleteWow, you weren't kidding about knocking pieces out this week, Lisa! I'm exhausted just seeing all you've done! : ) These tables looks great. So much more up-to-date with the charcoal color.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kathy! I have one more to do this week then I can be done until Monday. :) I have so many great things coming up and I don't think I'm going to get them all done in time!
DeleteDid you get this beautiful finish with a brush?
ReplyDeleteGraycie, this is sprayed, but you can get a great finish with a brush too! I always say the key to getting the best finish is sanding! The more you sand the better it will look. I always sand between every coat whether I'm brushing or spraying. :)
DeleteThanks for the reply!
DeleteCurious, do you mind sharing what sprayer you like to use?
I imagine you're tired....You're making me tired with all the work you're doing! I love them. :)

Thanks Andi! I just want you to know I've been a little sassy lately and I always think of you when I am. Lol! :)
DeleteVery sophisticated in charcoal Lisa!
ReplyDeleteLove the plum color of this piece Lisa - it's perfect with the stained top.
