Vintage Buffet and ASCP

This was the buffet I had mentioned before.  After all was said and done I am absolutely thrilled with how it turned out (and my friend loves it, too, which makes it even better!!).

Before

After

I ended up painting this with a chocolate brown primer (which ended up looking more like a charcoal gray), a sandy beige primer, and two coats of ASCP in Paris Gray (this was my first time with CP).  After painting I heavily distressed by hand and with my orbital sander (because it's huge!), stained it, then clear coated with poly.  Yep, it was a lot of work, but totally worth it!  I love how muted the colors are and how worn it looks now and it has a great looking texture.

I just want to reach out and touch this! ;)

She ordered these pulls online.  They couldn't be any more perfect!  <3 them!

I'm doing my happy dance!!  (I know it's good when I step back and see it from a little ways off and it just makes me smile!)

Just a few more pics....I couldn't help it!

I can't wait to see this in its new home (she's using it for her TV)!

    1. Thank you Shelly! I've been following you (lol--always sounds a little stalkerish!) for a while now and absolutely love the texture your pieces have. I was actually thinking about you when I was distressing this because of the different colors. :) Blogging is one more thing that makes the world just a little smaller. :) Thank you for sharing your amazing talent and your story!
