I normally don't buy dining tables because they take up so much room in my little shop, but when I saw this one this summer I just couldn't pass it up. I loved the legs and the price was right (and, my husband told me I would be crazy not to buy it!). I lost the before picture, but it was a medium tone wood and actually in pretty good shape.
My client decided on black with a wood top. This one gave me a workout! The top ended up being a mahogany veneer--very pretty!
There are 5 more chairs, but I didn't have the heart to ask Craig to haul them all out for me. The captain's chair is my favorite anyway. :)
Yes, I have table envy! :)
How could I walk away from those?? :)
She wanted to reupholster the seats with her own fabric so I just threw something on the cushion I already had (which is why the seat is not attached--again!). ;)

I love how that turned out! It's so rich looking. I can imagine how much work that was with all the curves on those legs. Whew! Great job with the distressing too. I bet your client is happy with it.
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I would've had a hard time passing it up too :)
