This cute little secretary was dropped off at my shop a little while back and, of course, I've been stewing pondering about what to do with it. It was in very good shape, just needed some updating. She was a little blah (and I really didn't like the wood handles--maybe that's just an excuse to put something cute on there ;) ). I wanted it to have a soft, feminine feel, and I was dying to use the fabric I ordered off Etsy a while back (another place I need to stay off of!).
Before
It had the 80's country feel (in my opinion) :)
I absolutely love these cup pulls and this little ceramic knob.
The inside was pretty beat up and the idea of sanding all the old finish off by hand to restain it was a little daunting, so I opted to paint it instead.
Since the backboard actually had grooves in it (and that would be a big 'ol pain!) I just took it off, flipped it over, and then attached my fabric to the flat side.
