Khaki Night Stand

I recently sold this antique headboard/footboard and chest of drawers to the same client at different times.  I think I mentioned I really love how painting pieces that don't belong together the same color can really make them feel cohesive in the same space.

Well, she was also looking for the perfect nightstand to complete the set and finally found it!  Again, I painted it the same color (Shade Grown @ 75% from Sherwin Williams) and added the same pulls as the chest, and her set is complete!  They look great together!

 Before

 After

The best part about doing this job is seeing how excited people are to take their new treasure home!
  It makes me so happy!

I think these are my all time favorite pulls!

*Tip: I match the screw heads to the pull by spray painting them two or three different colors all in succession before each coat dries so the colors blend.

It had a cherry top on it so even though I stained it Espresso (by Varathane) it still looked really red.  It turned out beautifully so I just went with it. :)

I always protect the tops with at least 3 coats of poly.

Such a cute manly little thing now!!
